Haryana CM lays foundation stone of 30 buildings in Jind

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today inaugurated the Safidon drain project here and laid the foundation stone of 30 residential buildings to be constructed in the sub-division.
He also approved allocation of Rs 2.10 crore from the Kurukshetra Development Board for the development of pilgrimage site 'Naag Kshetra'.
Khattar said the Safidon drain project would cost Rs 7 crore while Rs 9.12 crore would be spent on constructing the residential buildings.
The Chief Minister unveiled the statue of Sikh leader Maharaja Jassa Singh Ahluwalia here and announced that the chowk and the ITI here would be named after the Maharaja.

Congratulating members of the Maharaja Jassa Singh Ahluwalia Kirti Abhiyan Samiti, he stressed the need to apprise the youth about the lives and deeds of such great personalities.
Khattar also approved the demands for the construction of roads, upgradation of schools and setting up of veterinary hospitals.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of Steel Birender Singh said Tri Shatabadi Samaroh of Maharaja Jassa Singh Ahluwalia should be celebrated throughout Haryana with full honour.
The Union Minister S S Ahluwalia said the aim of organising Tri Shatabadi Samaroh is to spread the word on the principles of great personalities among the people.
