Hooda was speaking at a function here organised to honour state's ten sportspersons and one coach who had been awarded with the Khel Ratna, Dronacharya, Dhyanchand and Arjuna Awards 2012.
The cheques amounting to a total of Rs 24 lakh were also given to them.
The Chief Minister said that while watching Saina Nehwal playing during Olympics, he noticed that Chinese had remarkably improved upon their technique in playing badminton.
Similarly, the technique had also improved in other sports also and there was a need that our players should also be given such training according to the new technique.
He said as many as 790 sports trainers would be hired soon by the state government to meet the target of winning 12 medals in the next Olympics.
"We have already started preparing for the next Olympics and fixed a target of winning at least 12 medals in it," he said.

He said the Haryana players have so far bagged 75 Arjuna Awards, 11 Dronacharya Awards and four Dhyanchand Awards.
"Haryana is the only state where there is a provision of monthly pension amounting to Rs 5000 each for every Dronacharya, Dhyanchand and Arjuna Award winner," he informed.
