Congress functionaries in Haryana will face disciplinary action if they make statements against party leadership or go against policies and guidelines of party high command.
Haryana Congress president Phool Chand Mullana today said this in a statement and informed that a disciplinary committee is being constituted on the directions of party high command to deal with such issues.
Party leaders should introspect before issuing anti-party statements, he said adding, we have noticed that some functionaries have taken up an agenda to defame the state leadership on issues of discrimination in development works.
However, to redress any grievances, a separate platform has been prescribed, Mullana said.
Several Haryana Congress leaders including Congress Working Committee member Birender Singh, ministers Kiran Choudhary, Ajay Singh Yadav, Rao Narender Singh and MPs Rao Inderjit Singh and Ishwar Singh have remained vocal against Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's programmes and policies.
