After the meeting, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda sought to downplay exit polls predicting a poor showing by his party, and said the "final picture will only be clear on May 16 after the counting of votes".
The meeting was also attended by senior leaders including party in-charge of Haryana affairs Shakeel Ahmed and Pradesh Congress Committee president Ashok Tanwar.
Tanwar hinted at organisational revamp in state unit after the Lok Sabha poll results are out.
The leaders exhorted party leaders and cadres to gear up for the upcoming Assembly polls and asked them to work unitedly to ensure the party's victory.
"The party will emerge victorious in the October Assembly elections," the Chief Minister said, adding that it was the duty of party workers to reach out to the masses and apprise them about the success stories and developmental schemes being run by the state government.
