A sitting Congress MLA of Haryana and a prosecution witness in a disproportionate assets case, allegedly involving INLD chief O P Chautala's son Abhay, today moved a Delhi court seeking security for himself and his family for allegedly being threatened by the accused.
The court sought a response of Abhay Chautala on the plea filed by witness Karan Singh Dalal who represents Palwal in Haryana assembly.
Following Dalal's allegations, the prosecutor submitted before Special CBI Judge Sanjay Garg that under these circumstances, the "bail of the accused be cancelled".
The witness, in his application, sought the court to provide security to him and his family members alleging that they were being threatened by the accused and his family members.
The court fixed the case for May 22 for arguments on the plea of Dalal and also recording prosecution evidence in the case.
During the day, the court recorded the statement of Dalal, who was 106th prosecution witness in the case, in which he identified signatures of several persons on a memorandum given to the then Governor of Haryana.
