Haryana constitutes committee to celebrate golden jubilee yr

Haryana government has constituted a committee for suggestions to celebrate the state's golden jubilee year as a special festival.
The Committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Haryana's Minister of state for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Kumar Bedi.
Chief Parliamentary Secretaries, Seema Trikha and Kamal Gupta would be the members of the Committee.
Bedi held a meeting here today and discussed programmes to be organised to mark Haryana's golden jubilee year.
Haryana was carved out as a separate state on November 1, 1966.
A number of issues were discussed in the meeting which included inviting all those who had become MPs and MLAs after 1966 in the special golden jubilee session' of Vidhan Sabha.
Also, golden jubilee pillars and plaques would be set up in villages and names of freedom fighters, martyrs, sports persons, educationists and other dignitaries of the village would be inscribed on them.

Apart from this, the 'Gita Jayanti Samaroh' would be held in Kurukshetra in December and would be celebrated at international level.
Golden Jubilee gates would be erected in districts of the State bordering neighbouring states. All government buildings would be illuminated on November 1, 2016, according to an official release.
The government has also constituted a committee of officers to gather information from all departments regarding programmes to be organised in connection with the golden jubilee year celebrations.
