Khattar stated this after inaugurating a programme organised by SPIC MACAY (The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth) in collaboration with Haryana Government in Yamunanagar.
SPIC MACAY is a non-profit organisation which promotes classical Indian music, dance, and culture in India.
As part of the Swarna Jayanti celebrations, as many as 264 such programmes would be organised in the same series throughout the state.
He said the state government is committed to give recognition to the artists of Haryana at international level and added that efforts should be made to promote Indian music among the young generation.
He said Haryana is not only an agrarian state but also has a rich culture as Padma Bhushan recipient Pandit Jasraj and other artists have played a vital role in disseminating the state's art and culture in the entire country.
