Haryana government has formulated a State Mini Cluster Development Scheme for promotion of micro and small enterprises in the state.
This scheme has been formulated under the Enterprises Promotion Policy, 2015, Haryana Finance and Industries Minister Captain Abhimanyu said here today.
He said that the state government has adopted the cluster development approach as a key strategy for enhancing the productivity and competitiveness of micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in the Haryana.
A cluster is a group of enterprises located within a contiguous area and producing same or similar products or services, an official release said here.
The essential characteristics of enterprises in a cluster are similarity in the methods of production, quality control and testing, energy consumption and pollution control, it said.
The minister said the scheme aims at supporting MSEs by addressing common issues such as improvement of technology, skills and quality, market access and capital availability.
It is also aimed at building capacity of MSEs for common supportive action through formation of self-help groups, consortia, upgradation of associations and setting up common facility centres for testing, design, research and development, among others.
