Haryana Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya exhorted the teaching fraternity on Wednesday to supplement the efforts of the state government by instilling a sense of moral values and nationalism among students.
Arya was addressing a gathering on the occasion of the Rajya Shikshak Puraskar Samaroh organised at the Haryana Raj Bhawan here, an official release said.
On this occasion, 32 teachers of the state were honoured with cash awards of Rs 21,000, certificates and medals, it said.
As per state government policy, the awardee teachers would be granted an extension of two years in service and two annual increments in their salary.
Laying emphasis on job-oriented education in the present day scenario, Arya said, "I am happy that under the able leadership of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Haryana is the first state to start the National Vocational Educational Qualification Framework scheme for skill development of students right from the school level."
