Haryana Governor presents medals to police personnel

Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki today exhorted the police personnel to follow the slogan 'Safety, Security and Cooperation' to help the common man and thus create a peaceful and law abiding community.
The Governor was addressing the police personnel in an investiture ceremony organised for presentation of medals to them in recognition of their distinguished service held at Haryana Raj Bhawan here today, an official release said.
On this occasion, the Governor presented medals to 95 police personnel in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
They were decorated with President's Police Medal for distinguished service, Police Medal for Gallantry and Police Medal for Meritorious service in the function.

The Governor said such programmes not only further encourage the medal winners but also inspire all the police personnel to follow them.
Highlighting the importance of the Police Force, the Governor said that the Police is the most visible face of the Government or the State.
Solanki further said that police personnel should always arm themselves with latest scientific techniques and modern instruments and keep updating the same with the latest knowledge of law and its various procedures.
Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included, Justice Pritam Pal, Lokayukta, Haryana, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sanjeev Kaushal, and Director General of Police Yash Pal Singal, among others.
