Haryana govt appoints nodal agency for tissue culture plants

The Hisar-based Centre for Plant Biotechnology (CPB) will be the nodal agency for the procurement of disease-free healthy tissue culture plants by the various government bodies and departments in Haryana, an official spokesman said here today.
All departments of the state government would now need to go through CPB for their requirements of tissue culture plants. Requisition for plants would have to submitted to CPB six months in advance, he added.
CPB functions under the State Council for Science and Technology (Panchkula), an autonomous body which is part of the Haryana Science and Technology Department.
