Haryana govt approves new Crime Record Bureau Service Rules

The Haryana Cabinet approved new rules for recruitment to the State Crime Record Bureau at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here today.
As per the State Crime Record Bureau Service (Group C) Rules, 2017, the academic qualification for promotion or absorption to the post of Junior Classifier would be Bachelor in Science from any recognised university or institution along with Hindi or Sanskrit in Matric or higher education, an official spokesman said here.
All posts of Junior Classifiers would be filled up by way of deputation from constables of the Police Department, he said.
In case of Senior Classifiers, all posts would be filled up by way of promotion from amongst Junior Classifiers, he said.
In case of Head Classifiers, Experts and Supervisors, all posts would be filled up by way of promotion from amongst Senior Classifiers, Head Classifiers and Experts, respectively, he said.
Promotion to the post of Expert would require one-year experience as Head Classifier.

In case of promotion to the post of Supervisor, at least eight years' combined experience as Expert and Head Classifier, out of which at least five years as Expert would be required, he said.
A three-member selection committee headed by a Director would make the selection.
The other members would be Superintendent of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Police.
The committee would scrutinise applications and finalise names after interviewing the eligible candidates.
All selected candidates would remain on deputation as constable in the Bureau till they qualify the competitive test to be held for first course, he said.
