The inquiry was ordered by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
These industrial plots ranging from 496 square metres to 1,280 square metres were in December 2011 allegedly allotted to the candidates who were either relatives of the then Chief Minister (Hooda) or those of his close associates and friends, a Haryana government release said here today.
While replying to a question on the issue during the Budget session of Haryana Assembly held in March this year, State's Finance and Industries Minister, Abhimanyu had said that there were some question marks about the genuineness of the candidates who have been allotted industrial plots.
Therefore, the state government would abide by the directions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. However, it was also assured to the members of the House that the state government would get the matter investigated because the government also felt that the entire matter needed to be investigated.
The BJP government, which was formed after last year's Assembly polls in October, had received several complaints drawing its attention towards alleged irregularities committed in allotment of industrial plots, including the charge-sheet submitted by Indian National Lok Dal to the Governor regarding this, the release added.
