With a view to ensure further empowerment of the Panchayati Raj Institutes and their active participation in development programmes, the Haryana government has decided to constitute state council under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
The chairpersons of zila parishads will be members of the state council, minister of state for social justice and empowerment, Krishan Kumar Bedi said here today.
Giving details of the decisions taken at the ministerial meeting chaired by Khattar here yesterday, the minister said that a committee, under the chairmanship of principal secretary, finance, TVSN Prasad was constituted which would finalise the component of house rent allowance admissible to employees as per 7th Central Pay Commission.
The other members include Amneet P Kumar and Vijayendra Kumar.
Bedi said that water would be made available in all ponds under the Haryana Pond Development Authority by March 31, 2019.
In the first phase, 1,200 ponds would be filled with canal water twice in a year.
In the second phase, water conservation projects would be started for silted ponds and for those where problem of overflow prevails. Provision of funds would be made for such ponds.
