The vaccine has been recently introduced to provide protection against diseases, including Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Hepatitis B and childhood pneumonia, a spokesman of the Health Department said here today.
He said that this vaccine was introduced at a state level workshop organised here for concerned officials to apprise them about its various aspects and build their skill regarding its usage and potential.
Experts from the National Polio Surveillance Project (NPSP) are providing technical assistance in the training and re-orientation of State and district-level officials, he said.
"Till today, different vaccines were given for providing protection against these deadly childhood diseases. This led to many management issues and programmatic complications," he said.
