Haryana in touch with Centre for highway along Yamuna: Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said today that the state government was in "constant touch" with the Centre for the construction of a highway along the Yamuna river from Delhi to Paonta Sahib.
He also said that the name of Khizrabad, a village in this area, would be changed Pratap Nagar.
Talks are being held with the Uttar Pradesh government regarding the widening of the bridge over river Yamuna in Karnal and Yamunanagar districts, Khattar told reporters here.
Referring to village Khizrabad, Khattar said that its name would be changed to Pratap Nagar and for this, first, the gram panchayat would send a proposal to the state government.
Khattar also said that the Quality Marking Centre near Jagadhri bus-stand would be upgraded at a cost of Rs 32 crore and an export display centre would also be set up there.
Khattar said this while interacting with the directors, managers and representatives of industrial units in Yamunanagar.
The chief minister also approved a sum of Rs 33 crore for the renovation and repair of the infrastructure and roads in the Industrial Area, Yamunanagar, Industrial Estate Phase-1 and Phase-2 and Manakpur Industrial Estate and issued directions to the officers concerned to begin work in the next 20 days.
