According to the police, the accused had come here along with a girl from Sonepat on pretext of taking her to Jaipur, on January 30. Both stayed at a hotel where he sexually assaulted the girl.
They later went back to Sonepat where the girl narrated the ordeal to her parents, Superintendent of Police, Shimla, DW Negi said.
The parents of the girl then came here and lodged a complaint against the man who was today arrested under Sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 323 (causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code, Negi said.
