Haryana: Notification for preparation of electoral roll issued

The Haryana State Election Commissioner has issued notification for preparation of electoral roll of eight municipal councils and 17 municipal committees where de-limitation of wards had been notified by the state government.
While giving this information today, State Election Commissioner Rajeev Sharma said the eight municipal councils are Charkhi Dadri, Narnaul, Tohana, Thanesar, Hodal, Sirsa, Mandi Dabwali and Gohana.
Similarly, the 17 municipal committees are Naraingarh, Cheeka, Rajound, Mahendergarh, Nangal Chaudhary, Samalkha, Bhuna, Jhajjar, Safidon, Tarori, Nissing, Ladwa, Pehowa, Ferozepur, Jhirka, Kalanwali, Ellenabad and Ganaur.
He said photo-based, ward-wise and booth-wise electoral rolls of these municipalities would be prepared with January 1, 2015 as the qualifying date.
The process for the preparation of electoral rolls of these municipalities would be started from June 10 and draft rolls would be published on July 1, he said.
The draft rolls would be hosted on the website of the State Election Commission and the districts concerned.

Claims and objections by the aggrieved persons can be filed with the Revising Authority by July 11, who would decide them by July 17.
Any person aggrieved with the order of the Revising Authority can file appeal before the Deputy Commissioner by July 23 and all such appeals would be decided by August 3.
The final electoral rolls would be published on August 10, he added.
