Haryana police arrests six for theft, vehicle lifting

Haryana Police has arrested six persons, including four residents of Uttar Pradesh and two of Rajasthan, for their alleged involvement in separate incidents of thefts and vehicle lifting in Gurugram.
A sum of Rs 10,000 in cash, a Bolero jeep and three motorcycles were also recovered from their possession, a spokesman of the police department said here today.
He said that during interrogation, accused Shahrukh and Farman Ahmed, residents of Bijnor district in Uttar Pradesh, confessed to have been involved in various cases of theft in Gurugram.
As many as five other cases were also solved with their arrest, he said.

The spokesman said that on the intervening night of May 13 and 14, the police arrested Mohammad Shakir, a resident of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, from Sheetla Mata Road in Gurugram for his involvement in cases registered under Arms Act.
He was sent to three-day police custody for further interrogation, during which he confessed to have committed theft at a house in Gurugram.

The police also recovered Rs 10,000 in cash from his possession. On May 17, the police arrested another accused who has been identified as Yusuf, a resident of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, from Rajendra Park. He was involved in a theft incident.

The spokesman said that the police also took Saleem alias Pandu and Majlis alias Majjar, residents of Bharatpur district in Rajasthan on production warrant from Hodal in Palwal district.
During interrogation, they confessed their involvement in three cases of vehicle lifting in Gurugram.
