During the last two years, the Commission had got 4332 complaints of human rights violation, out of which around 60 per cent of those were against police, Chairman of Commission Vijender Jain said.
Around 3000 cases were settled so far, he added.
He said that he was of the view that the investigation of the FIRs should be handed over to some agencies other than police.
He said that corruption could not be prevented till the investigation of the cases remained with police.

He heard 26 complaints of Ambala, Panchkula and Yamunanagar districts out of which 14 were disposed off.
Later, he visited Ambala central jail where he checked the kitchen and dispensary.
He also met some of the inmates.
