Haryana raises honorarium for Mayors

Haryana government today raised the honorarium paid to Mayors, Senior Deputy Mayors, Deputy Mayors and Councillors of Municipal Corporations.
Urban Local Bodies Minister Savitri Jindal said the honorarium of the Mayors has been increased from Rs 5000 per month to Rs 7500 per month.
The honorarium of Senior Deputy Mayors has been increased from Rs 3000 per month to Rs 6000 per month, of Deputy Mayors from Rs 2000 per month to Rs 5000 per month and of Member of Corporation or Councillors from Rs 1500 per month to Rs 2500 per month, she said.
In addition to this, the entertainment allowance of Mayors has been increased from Rs 2500 per month to Rs 5000 per month, she said.
