This was disclosed in a meeting of governing body of State Health Society, National Health Mission, presided over by Chief Secretary D S Dhesi here today.
While reviewing the functioning of the State Health Society, it was informed that 28 First Referral Units are performing cesarean sections at Government Health facilities.
The central government has approved resource envelope of Rs 309.57 crore of National Health Mission for Haryana for the financial year 2016-17.
Also, Programme Implementation Plan (PIP) of Rs 610.04 crore has been forwarded to the Central Government to cover a number of aspects including maternal and child health, family planning, adolescent health, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram, human resources and training, an official release said here giving details.
In 2015-16 as many as 40,740 beneficiaries were given incentive under this scheme, it was further informed.
Haryana government had established 22 Special Newborn Care Units (SNCU), 66 New Born Stabilizing Units (NBSU) and 318 New Born Care Corners under Child Health Programme. During the financial year 2015-16 24, 280 newborn were admitted in SNCUs.
