In the first phase, 21 trucks carrying materials have reached the Nepal.
"This is by far the largest contribution made by any state so far, and Haryana ranks among the first to reach Nepal with relief," an official spokesman claimed here.
With the help of local administration and the Indian Army, the team delivered a part of the relief material at Pokhara Airport, and then proceeded to Palumtang advanced landing ground from where the relief would be taken to remote villages by the Army helicopters, he said.
Before leaving for Nepal, the team visited the relief camp at Gorakhpur University to access relief operations being carried by the Indian Armed Forces and the Central government, the spokesman added.
