Aligning with Centre's Make in India campaign, Haryana's new industrial policy will focus on some key areas including manufacturing and micro small and medium enterprises (MSME) to boost growth, the state government said today.
"In line with the government of India's 'Make in India' initiative, the policy would lay emphasis on manufacturing and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.
"With emphasis on skill development, the government is also aiming at preparing youth for jobs in the industrial sector especially the MSMEs, both in rural and urban areas. Accordingly, skill development sector is likely to be a priority area in the policy document," said an official spokesman here.
The state government has been laying great emphasis on ease-of-doing-business; transparency and simplification of procedures, besides inclusive and comprehensive development of all the regions and districts.
The revised industrial policy would be in line with these objectives, he said adding, the policies and procedures are likely to simplified and streamlined and single window clearances would be made operationally effective.
The BJP-led Haryana government, after the enthusiastic response of industry associations to the consultative process initiated sometime back, has also scheduled further meetings to aid the process of preparing the new Industrial Policy and liberalising Estate Management Procedures.
Further meetings will be held this month in different parts of the state where industry associations of nearby areas would be invited for interaction with Vineet Garg, Managing Director, HSIIDC.
