It was stated by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here while addressing 'Vishaal Laghu Udyahmi Sammelan' organised by Laghu Udyog Bharati.
"Haryana is an agrarian state where land holding is shrinking and farmers are approaching towards small industries. People connected with MSMEs could utilise their potential by imparting them skill development training in industries especially in agro based. The state government will promote agro based industries in a big way," he said.
The Chief Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started cleaning up process to weed out about 1,700 obsolete and outdated laws which have no relevance in present days.
Lauding the importance of MSME, he said that industries have a significant contribution to the country's GDP, employment generation and big industries could not sustain without MSME.

"Small scale industries contribute about 8 per cent in country's GDP whereas manufacturing sector contribution is 45 per cent and 40 per cent of other sectors. About 3.5 crore small entrepreneurs is generating more than eight crore employment opportunities," he added.
"During last few years, the pace of industrial development remained slow in the state due to some reasons. But now we are taking new initiatives for change of system by way of bringing transparency in each and every sector. It is the priority of the government to completely eradicate corruption from the system by usage of information technology and e-governance," he said.
Describing Haryana as one of the favourite destination for entrepreneurs, he said state's proximity to Delhi is offering excellent connectivity for export as well as usage of Delhi market.
"We wish to create such an environment under which entrepreneurs opt Haryana for investment. A lot of simplifications are being made in process and procedures in this direction. We are trying to provide Rs 1,000 crore collateral free loan to MSMEs with the Central assistance," he said.
