The Haryana government has urged the central government to enhance the allocation of urea for the month of July 2015 from 1.50 lakh tonnes to two lakh tonnes, an official release said today.
The central government has also been urged to enhance the allocation of urea fertiliser for the months of August and September 2015, including 0.40 lakh tonnes reserved quantity kept for kharif 2015.
Haryana Chief Secretary D S Dhesi reviewed the arrangement of urea for rabi season 2015-16, it said. this was in a meeting here today.

It was observed in the meeting that during Kharif 2014, the availability of DAP fertiliser was satisfactory and no shortage was noticed.
Meanwhile, an official spokesman said that HAFED, the designated State Nodal Agency, has been advised to procure 2.55 lakh tonnes, which is 30 per cent of the total approved requirement, for the kharif season.
Total proposed quantity of urea has been pegged at 11.50 lakh tonnes for rabi 2015-16 season.
HAFED will procure DAP fertiliser to the tune of 1.80 lakh tonnes during Kharif 2015 and 1.60 lakh tonnes during the coming Rabi 2015-16 respectively, in addition to the opening stock at the beginning of the respective season, the spokesman said.
