Each district of Haryana will now get one-stop centres (OSCs) to facilitate integrated services for women affected by violence.
A spokesman for the women and child development department today said that at present seven OSCs are functional in as many districts and now Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has accorded approval for the setting up of 15 more OSCs in the rest other districts.
He said the aim of these centres is to facilitate integrated services for women affected by violence. These services would include police assistance, medical aid, psycho-social counselling, legal aid and counselling and temporary stay for five days.
He said the seven districts in which these centres are already functional included Karnal, Bhiwani, Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, Rewari and Narnaul.
The 15 districts where OSCs would be set up included Ambala, Charkhi Dadri, Fatehabad, Jhajjar, Jind, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Mewat, Palwal, Panchkula, Panipat, Rohtak, Sirsa, Sonipat and Yamunanagar.
One stop centre is hundred per cent centrally sponsored scheme under the Nirbhaya Fund, he said.
