Haryana to hold competition on moral education in schools

To promote value-based education in the state, the Haryana Board of School Education will hold a competition on moral education for students from class IX to XII in government and private schools affiliated with it.
This was informed by Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma, who was speaking at a function organised on the occasion of birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri at Board's office in Bhiwani, an official release said.
The students in each of these classes bagging first, second and third positions at the state-level would be given cash prizes of Rs 11,000, Rs 5,100 and Rs 3,100 respectively and citations would be given to the concerned schools, the release quoting the minister said.
