Haryana to host national e-governance conference

Haryana will organise a two-day national conference on e-governance starting here tomorrow, with an aim to bring efficiency in services delivery system.
Representatives from all areas of governance and information and communication technology (ICT) industry can use the platform to deliberate on e-delivery of services, and share knowledge on various e-governance initiatives launched by various states in the country, an official spokesman said.
Haryana's pilot project on e-governance - Integrated Village Information & Services System (IVISS) - will also be discussed at the conference after which a statewide roll-out will be planned.
Senior government representatives from various states, including Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Union Territory of Chandigarh would share their e-governance case studies at the conference.
