Khattar noted that there are large number of people who want to donate land for social causes like construction of Dharamshalas, Gaushalas, educational institutes and construction of girls hostels.
"There is no shortage of land in the state and people are ready to give land for development works," he said.
While addressing the concluding session of the two-day Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay Prashikshan Mahaabhiyan here, the Chief Minister said a similar campaign was launched by Vinoba Bhave as a result of which thousands of acres of land had been donated by the people throughout the country.
The proposed highway has already been discussed with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, he said.

The Chief Minister said that during the 15 months of BJP government at the Centre, Haryana has got nine National Highways as compared to only one during the last ten years rule of Congress government.
"The work on these Highways would start soon as a result of which, Haryana would have a huge network of roads. Apart from this, an international airport would be developed in Hisar which would place it on the international map. Also, more districts of the state would be linked with Metro rail," Khattar said.
We have impressed upon the construction firm to get this section completed in one year and nine months, he added.
