A memorandum of understanding was signed here today in this regard in the presence of chief ministers of the two states, Manohar Lal Khattar and Andhra's Chandrababu Naidu.
According to the MoU, Haryana would replicate Andhra's e-governance initiatives such as "e-Pragati", "People Hub" and "Smart Pulse Survey".
"Previous governments of Haryana were known for some kind of corruption. To get rid of such image, we want to learn from Andhra Pradesh which has pioneered in e-governance initiatives and bringing down slippages," Khattar said.
"With the help of e-governance initiatives we are able to control corruption and target welfare schemes to the desired audience. This has resulted in saving of public resources and now it has become a model for other governments to replicate," Naidu told reporters.
Commenting about the next requirement of Polavaram funds, Naidu said the state government would be placing a bill in the next month for the need of more funds.
"The Union government in the first tranche has just reimbursed what we have spent. They would further release funds in real-time as and when required," added Naidu.
