The beneficiaries has been divided into five categories: Above Poverty Line (APL), Other Priority Households (OPH), State Below Poverty Line (SBPL), Central Below Poverty Line (CBPL) and Antodya Anna Yojana (AAY).
A total of 83 lakh ration cards would be made in these categories, he said.
The colour of APL ration cards would be green and 42 lakh such cards would be made. Similarly, 24 lakh OPH ration cards would be made in Khakhi colour.
The beneficiaries in these categories are given wheat, sugar, kerosene and pulses.
The beneficiaries of SBPL, CBPL and OPH would be given five kg and AAY beneficiaries would be given 35 kg of wheat at the rate of Rs 2 per kg per month.
Similarly, BPL and AAY beneficiaries would get 2 kg sugar at the rate of Rs 13.50 per kg, 7 liters kerosene at the rate of Rs 13.63 to Rs 14.58 per liter and 2.5 kg pulses at the rate of Rs 20 per kg per month, the spokesman said.
