Haryana to name institute after Guru Gobind Singh

Paying tributes to Guru Gobind Singh on his 350th birth anniversary, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said that the state government would name one of the leading institute in Panchkula, Ambala or Yamunanagar after the 10th Sikh Guru.
"The state government will name a leading institute in Panchkula or Ambala or Yamunanagar districts after Guru Goboing Singh," he while paying obeisances at Gurudwara Nada Sahib on 350th Prakashotsav here.
Khattar also recalled the contribution of the Guru in maintaining peace and unity.
He said that the Guru was blessed with indomitable courage and significant knowledge and devoted his entire life to protect the rights of underprivileged.
The chief minister said the government would sympathetically consider the demand regarding utilisation of 2.36 acres of land adjoining the Gurudwara for parking and 'Sarai' (night shelter).
Khattar said BJP is in a comfortable position in Punjab, Uttar Pardesh and Uttrakhand and hoped that it will also perform better in Goa and Manipur in the Assembly elections starting next month.
The Chief Minister was also presented with a 'siropa' (robe of honour) and sword by the Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee.
