Leading 1-0 at the half time, Haryana women scored through Navneet Kaur (16th, 43rd) and Udita (49th) minute.
Haryana looked the better drilled outfit and dictated the pace from the start while Uttar Pradesh committed far too many errors that put them on the defensive for majority of the match.
In the second semifinal, Chandigarh defeated Delhi 6-1 with three goals from Anjali, two from Saroj and one by Shilpi Dabas.
Meanwhile in West Zone, Hockey Maharashtra edged out hosts Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd 2-1 in a Pool A match to enter the semifinals of the Sub-Junior Women National Championship.

Alaknanda Bagadi scored the opening goal for Hockey Maharashtra in the 40th minute. Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd, however, levelled the proceedings in the 64th minute but another goal from Alaknanda helped her side win its last league match.
Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy who topped Pool A has already qualified for semifinals.
In Pool B, Rajasthan defeated Chhattisgarh 3-1 while Goa beat Gujarat 2-0. Both Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh are through to the semifinals.
