Kerala Congress(M) leader K M Mani, whose party is a major constituent of the Congress led opposition UDF, today said his party has differences with them on certain issues, including "unilateral appointment" of Ramesh Chennithala as chairman of the Front.
The former Finance Minister also said a leadership camp of Kerala Congress (M) to be held next week would discuss all issues in detail, including the party's approach towards UDF.
"We have differences with Congress and UDF on certain issues," he told reporters at nearby Pala.
The veteran leader's statement came hours after senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy met Mani at his residence in Pala.
Mani is not happy with Chennithala's appointment as UDF chairman and also leader of opposition in Kerala Assembly.
Mani and his followers believe it wasChennithala, as Home Minister in the previous UDF government, who hatched a 'conspiracy' in the bar bribery scandal to weaken him ahead of the assembly polls held in May this year.

They also suspect Chandy's role in alienating KC(M) in the UDF on the bar bribery scandal
"Congress unilaterally appointed Ramesh Chennithala as UDF chairman. They should have discussed the matter with us before taking such an important decision," Mani said.
The already sour relations between Kerala Congress(M) and Congress over the scam sharpened recently after Chandy and Chennithala attended the betrothal ceremony of the daughter of controversial hotelier Biju Ramesh with the son of Congress leader and former minister Adoor Prakash.
Biju Ramesh, working President of Kerala State Bar Hotel Owners Association, had levelled the bar bribery charge against Mani, which finally led to his resignation in November last year.
