"I have documentary evidence to prove Chouhan's involvement in the MPPEB scam and in the near future he will have to quit his post. He won't be able to save himself," Katare told reporters at a press conference today.
He claimed that Chouhan had hidden information about the scam and directed officials directly under him to keep an eye on the probe.
Katare also questioned the probe being conducted by the Special Task Force (STF) in the matter and demanded that it should be handed over either to the CBI or by constituting a Special Investigative Team (SIT).
Katare also questioned why BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was contesting from two constituencies if there was a Modi wave in the country and why he had not resigned from the Gujarat Chief Minister's post.
