Admitting the Vipul Chaudhary's plea, Justice A J Desai extended the stay on the meeting called to discuss the no-confidence motion against him till the matter is settled.
The court posted the matter for further hearing on December 23.
On October 25, the high court had stayed the GCMMF's board meeting scheduled for October 26 to discuss the motion moved against Chaudhary, who took over as chairman in August 2012.
The no-confidence motion was expected to be taken up at the GCMMF board meeting, which was stayed by the high court on grounds of absence of provision for moving such a motion, under the Gujarat Co-operative Societies Act.

However, the court allowed a routine meeting scheduled for November 6 to be held, on which Chaudhary had sought a stay.
The court observed that the apprehension that he would be dismissed as chairman during the routine meeting was unfounded.
