The Calcutta High Court today directed the CID to investigate the case of missing of a minor girl from her relative's place in Murshidabd district and asked the agency to file a progress report within 15 days.
Justice Nadira Patherya expressed her displeasure at the non-progress in investigation to find the girl who had gone missing on May six and observed that the Murshidabad police was incompetent in handling a case of trafficking.
The 16-year old girl from Patipukur area in the city's northern suburbs had gone to visit her relatives at Kandi in Murshidabad district from where she went missing.
