Justice Suresh Kait asked the Delhi Tapedic Unmoolan Samiti (DTUS) to implement its circular, providing for medical and other benefits to its workers, within four weeks, failing which, he added, its Member Secretary will have to appear before it on May 28, the next date of hearing.

The court's direction came on a plea by DTUS Workers' Association, seeking direction to the government body to implement the circular and provide medical and other benefits under the EPF Act and the ESI Act to the workers.

The workers' body, in its plea filed through lawyers R K Saini and Sitab Ali Chaudhary, said that the DTUS, on May 6 last year, had issued a circular that the workers would be getting benefits under the welfare legislations, but the circular was never implemented.
