HC asks Kunickaa to make state govt party to her petition

The division bench of Justices S A Bobade and R G Ketkar also asked the state and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to file affidavits in reply.

Lall alleged that the land where the Madrasa stands is reserved for a playground, and belongs to a school run by an NGO of which she is a trustee.

The Madrasa is being run by Markazul Marif Education Research Centre, the petition says.

The HC today said government must also clarify whether it had formed a committee to look into demolition of religious structures on playgrounds and public roads, as directed by the Supreme Court in an earlier case.
