HC asks Raj govt to ensure Gujjar stir doesn't turn violent
Press Trust of India Jaipur The Rajasthan High Court today asked the state government to ensure that Gujjar agitation demanding reservation do not turn violent in future and no rail or road blockades takes place as happened in the recent past.
Justice R S Rathore, while delivering an interim order, also observed that the police and state administration will ensure that no loss to public property takes place.
It has also been directed by the Court that it shall be the liability of the District Magistrate (Collector) and the area SP to reimburse the loss of property and any damages assessed due to Gujjar agitation in future.
The bench directed the Chief Secretary to send a copy of the judgment to all Collectors and area SPs for action and compliance.
