Justice Manmohan, however, said that if the court steps in, then it will be "disastrous" and create more chaos for the people at large.
It, however, asked the petitioner, who had alleged that the bridge is being built near the residential area, to make the representation before concerned authority in two days so that they might reallocate the bridge.
"I know its a serious issue, but we cannot do anything. There are MPs, MLAs and area councillor to look or handle such kind of issues. What you (Delhi government) have done for BRT is 'amazing'. Earlier we use to take five minutes on that road, now it takes hours. You have even spent over 100 crores, but it is not so useful.
The court observation came during hearing of the petition filed by residents of Panchila Park in South Delhi and through the president of by Panch Shila Cooperative House Building Society Limited, who said that the foot over-bridge are being constructed on the service road directly in front of house number S-25 to S-29 and house numbers N-96 and N-98.
The petitioner said that the service road at these points are very narrow and after construction of the foot over bridge there will be huge traffic jam in that area.
