HC directs Housing Secy to handover impersonation case to DGP

The Madras High court today directed the Housing Secretary of the Tamil Nadu government to hand over the case regarding impersonation of a property to DGP to entrust the investigation with the CBCID.
Justice K K Sasidharan, allowing a petition filed by one M Fathima Beevi said lambasted the officials and said this was a classic example as to how the officials of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board conducts affairs of the instrumentality of the state and the modus operandi of the blacksheeps working in the Board.
The matter pertains to a petition filed Beevi, wife of deceased Sheik Salahudeen, who was given allotment of housing plot by TNHB.

The allotment was made on March 29, 1989. Slahudeen paid the initial deposit and the related instalments. He executed a lease-cum-sale agreement and submitted to the Executive Engineer and Administrative Officer TNHB on February 22, 1990.
The site was handed over to the allottee on December 3,1990.
Salahuddeen died on 29.10.1996 and thereafter Beevi continued to occupy the plot and she submitted an application before the TNHB requesting to transfer the allotment to her name and TNHB in 1999 directed her to produce various documents including consent letter from the other family members.
On production of all the original documents as sought by TNHB, TNHB transferred the allotment in her name. When she asked the TNHB authorities to execute the sale deed the Executive Engineer and The Manager, Marketing, were avoiding her under, Beevi said in her petition.

The Judge who directed the TNHB to execute a fresh sale deed in favour of the wife of the deceased on the strength of the transfer allotment said that it should be executed within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of today's order.
