Justice K K Sasidharan, allowing a petition filed by one M Fathima Beevi said lambasted the officials and said this was a classic example as to how the officials of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board conducts affairs of the instrumentality of the state and the modus operandi of the blacksheeps working in the Board.
The matter pertains to a petition filed Beevi, wife of deceased Sheik Salahudeen, who was given allotment of housing plot by TNHB.
The site was handed over to the allottee on December 3,1990.
Salahuddeen died on 29.10.1996 and thereafter Beevi continued to occupy the plot and she submitted an application before the TNHB requesting to transfer the allotment to her name and TNHB in 1999 directed her to produce various documents including consent letter from the other family members.
On production of all the original documents as sought by TNHB, TNHB transferred the allotment in her name. When she asked the TNHB authorities to execute the sale deed the Executive Engineer and The Manager, Marketing, were avoiding her under, Beevi said in her petition.
