According to the petitioner Ganesan, two police personnel including Sub Inspector Durai Singam and one constable of the station, who were not in uniform, stopped the petitioner and asked him who he was.
When he asked for their identity, they assaulted him and abused him in filthy language. They took him to the police station and assaulted him and took his signature in blank papers, he submitted.
Copy of the complaint was also sent to the DSP, DIG and the IG, however no action was taken, he contended.
Justice C T Selvam today directed the Sivaganga district SP to appear in the court on January 28.
