The Allahabad High Court today dismissed the appeals filed by senior IAS officer Rajeev Kumar and the state's former Chief Secretary Neera Yadav challenging their conviction in a corruption case by a special CBI court at Ghaziabad four years ago.
Justice Harsh Kumar dismissed the appeals of Kumar and Yadav who had challenged the CBI court order dated November 20, 2012 holding them guilty of financial irregularities while they occupied top posts at the Noida Authority.
Both were sentenced to three years' imprisonment as per the aforesaid order.
Yadav, who had retired before the CBI court judgement, was serving as the Chairperson of the Noida Authority during the period under investigation while Kumar was the Deputy CEO.
