HC grants bail to Additional District Magistrate

The Kerala High Court today granted bail to Ernakulam Additional District Magistrate (ADM) B Ramachandran who was arrested last month for allegedly accepting a bribe from a person for granting a license for running a store dealing in explosives.
The Court directed the ADM to surrender his passport and cooperate with police for conducting voice verification test.
Granting bail, Justice Abraham Mathew also directed the ADM to furnish a Rs one lakh bond with two solvent sureties for the like amount.
The Court also asked him to cooperate with the investigating agencies and appear before the investigating official when required.
Ramachandran was arrested from his quarters on June 27 after he allegedly took Rs one lakh bribe from a person from nearby Thrippunithura for issuing license to run his explosive store.
