HC judges, lawyers bid farewell to Justice S K Kaul

Delhi High Court judges and lawyers today bid farewell to Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul who has been elevated as the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court after serving here as a judge for over a decade.
Kaul (55), who had become a permanent judge of the Delhi High Court on May 2, 2003, will now assume charge of the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court.
"In the course of his judicial career so far, Justice Kaul has delivered several landmark judgements and decisions in many areas of our substantial and procedural law...
"Through his industry, patience, his sound knowledge of law and fairness in conduct of cases, the trust that people repose in our judicial system has been greatly enhanced," Chief Justice D Murugesan, who is also demitting office in June, said.
Besides the Chief Justice, Justice Kaul, A S Chandhiok, Additional Solicitor General and President of the Delhi High Court Bar Association and also spoke in the full court reference organised to bid the farewell.
