Sanam Hassan (18) collapsed at a flat in Pune where she was celebrating her birthday with her friends and was declared dead when taken to the hospital.
Her mother, Nagina Hassan, had moved the High Court saying the death took place in suspicious circumstances and the Crime Investigation Department's probe was not satisfactory.
The division bench of Justices V M Kanade and P D Kode today directed CBI to file a probe report within six weeks.
But the girl's parents said she never drank and there were discrepancies in reports of Sassoon Hospital in Pune and Mumbai's Kalina Forensic Lab.

According to Hassan's lawyer, Aniket Nikam, Sanam celebrated her birthday with friends on October 3, 2012. The The next day her parents were informed that she had been taken to the Ruby Hall Clinic where she was declared dead on arrival.
The petition alleges that forensic report said the heart which examined was a male heart, and DNA report of vaginal swab did not match the DNA profile of parents.
Police had said that watchman of the society was not traceable, but made no efforts to trace him, he said.
