Justice Manmohan directed the Deputy Commissioner of Central Zone of SDMC to be personally present in court along with a fresh status report on the next date of hearing on December 17.
The court while seeking the official's presence also observed that the authority does not appear to be appreciating the seriousness of the situation and the fact that the court is monitoring the issue.
"It is pertinent to mention that when initially the present batch of writ petitions was taken for hearing, it was the case of SDMC that the police was not rendering any assistance.
"It seems that the seriousness of the situation and that fact that this court is monitoring the action of respondents are not being appreciated," it said.
