HC to decide on July 14 plea for CBI probe against Yadav Singh

The Allahabad High Court bench here will decide on July 14 a PIL seeking CBI probe against former Noida Authority engineer-in-chief Yadav Singh in connection with alleged illegal assets.
A Lucknow bench of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and justice Shree Narain Shukla passed the order today on a PIL filed by social activist Nutan Thakur.
The court fixed July 14 or final hearing and disposal of the matter.
On behalf of Uttar Pradesh government, advocate general Vijay Bahadur Singh, Additional Advocate General Bulbul Godiyal and chief standing counsel I P Singh appeared in the court.
The state government counsel have maintained that the PIL was not maintainable.
Earlier, the petitioner had submitted that she had filed a supplementary affidavit before the court giving facts, including details of various alleged false companies floated by Yadav Singh for siphoning off illegal money.
The state government and Yadav Singh have already filed their response on the notices issued by the court.
